Part 1: Privacy Policy
1. 100% Local Data Storage Guarantee
Mini Reward is a standalone, local-first mobile application designed to help children build positive daily habits.
- No Cloud Servers: We do not own, operate, or rent any external cloud servers to store your personal data.
- Your Data Stays with You: All profiles, missions, tasks, points, stars, photos, voice recordings and configurations are stored strictly and locally on your own device's internal storage. We cannot access, view, sell, or collect any of your data.
- No Account Required: Mini Reward does not ask you to register, sign in, or provide an email address to use the app.
2. Device Permissions and Usage
To provide a personalized and fully functioning experience, Mini Reward requests permissions for certain device features. These permissions are only triggered when a parent voluntarily initiates them:
Camera and Photo Library Access
- Usage: Requested solely when a parent chooses to take or select a photo to personalize a Hero's profile avatar, upload a real-world image for a set Prize, or attach visual guides to specific Mission steps.
- Privacy: All selected or captured images are saved directly within your app's local sandbox on your device. No images are ever transmitted over the internet or shared with third parties.
Text-to-Speech (audio output)
- Usage: Mini Reward features a speaker button that uses your device's own Text-to-Speech engine to read aloud mission and prize titles, assisting younger children in understanding their tasks.
- Privacy: Text-to-Speech runs entirely on your device and produces sound only. It does not listen, and it sends nothing anywhere.
Microphone (parent voice recordings)
- Usage: Behind the parental gate, a parent may record their own voice saying a mission, a step or a prize, so that their child hears a familiar voice instead of a synthetic one. Each recording is limited to ten seconds.
- Only when you hold the button: The microphone is active only while a parent is recording in that screen. Mini Reward never records in the background, never listens for ambient audio, and never activates the microphone on its own.
- Privacy: Recordings are saved inside the app's local sandbox on your device. They are never transmitted over the internet, never uploaded, and never shared with anyone. There is nowhere for them to go — the app has no servers.
- Deletion: Deleting a mission, step or prize also deletes its recording from the device permanently. The same applies to photos. Nothing is kept behind after the thing that used it is gone.
Notifications
- Usage: Used to remind you locally on the device when a mission you scheduled comes around, and to alert your child when a reward timer finishes.
- Privacy: Notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent anywhere.
3. Data Safety & Third-Party Sharing
- No Data Sharing: Because all data remains entirely on your local device, we do not, and cannot, share any user information with third-party companies, advertisers, or analytical platforms.
- No Third-Party Analytics: Mini Reward contains no third-party analytics software of any kind. We do not collect or transmit advertising identifiers, device identifiers, location data, or any other information that could be used to identify a user or their device.
- No Advertising: Mini Reward contains no advertising of any kind — no third-party ads, no banner ads, and no targeted or behavioural advertising.
- No Tracking: The app does not deploy any hidden background tracking mechanisms or user behavioural tracking.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Mini Reward is designed to be an interactive parental management tool used under direct parental guidance. Because we do not collect, capture, or transmit any personal information or online identifiers from any user (including children), our app is fully compliant with children's privacy protection frameworks including COPPA and GDPR-K.
5. Parental Controls and Child Safety
- Parental Gate: All setup and management areas — adding or editing missions and prizes, recording a voice, updating a child's profile, app settings, and support contact details — are placed behind a parental gate that requires solving a multiplication problem. A new problem is generated on every attempt, so it cannot be bypassed by trial and error.
- No Links Out of the App: No area of the app that a child can reach contains links to external websites, other applications, or device system settings. Any such link is available only to a parent, behind the parental gate.
- No Purchases Reachable by Children: Mini Reward currently contains no in-app purchases. Should any be introduced in future, the purchase flow will be placed behind the parental gate.
- No Communication Features: Mini Reward contains no chat, messaging, social feed, or any other way for users to communicate with one another.
